Submitted by elmstreetbooks on Mon, 04/25/2022 - 12:40pm

Join us with the New Canaan Library as we speak with author Deborah Goodrich Royce who started her storytelling career as an actress in film and television and is remembered by soap opera fans for her role as Silver Kane, sister of the legendary Erica Kane, on ABC-TV’s All My Children. We will discuss her two engaging and suspenseful books, Finding Mrs. Ford and, her latest, Ruby Falls.  She also enjoys bringing the old luster of destination properties back to life.  She and her husband have restored and reopened the Ocean House Hotel in Watch Hill, RI, the Deer Mountain Inn in Tannersville, NY, and the Avon Theatre, a 1939 landmark in Stamford, CT.

Book Chat Thursday is a monthly ‘what-to-read-next’ book talk at New Canaan Library.  Readers’ Advisor, Laura Cavers, invites a guest (an author, a local organization’s leader, librarian or lucky patron) to talk about current hot titles or topical books.  Tell your family, friends, or colleagues who love to read and want to build their TBR pile to visit.  Great for book groups and bibliophiles.  What books would you recommend?  We’d love to know!  Join us!
